About this site
This website is run by Rightful Recovery LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Rightful Recovery"). Rightful Recovery is a private business. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any county, borough, court or state office.
You can claim for free
You can claim surplus funds or unclaimed property directly from the office holding them, at no cost, without using us.
No legal advice
The information on this site, including the free guide, is general information and not legal advice. Rules and deadlines change. Confirm details with the office holding the funds or with an attorney of your choice. Rightful Recovery is not a law firm.
Our services
Using this site or contacting us does not create an agreement. Full-service recovery is provided only under a separate signed written agreement, which will state our fee (currently 10% of funds actually recovered, payable only if funds are recovered), when our fee is invoiced (only after the funds are paid to you), your right to cancel within 10 days at no cost, and all other terms. Complex cases, such as estates, missing heirs, or claims needing probate or a court filing, are quoted in writing before you sign.
Accuracy of information
We try to keep the free guide accurate and the links current, but we can't guarantee that. Amounts shown on public lists may change, and the office holding the money decides who is paid and how much.
Links to other sites
We link to official government sites and other resources. We don't control those sites.
Limitation of liability
This site and its free information are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rightful Recovery is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law. Services we provide under a signed agreement are governed by that agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your state of residence requires otherwise.
