Who we are

Rightful Recovery LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Rightful Recovery", "we") runs this website. Contact: [email protected].

Information we collect

If you use our contact form or write to us, we collect what you send, such as your name, email, phone number, the state and county of the property, and your message.

To find people who may be owed surplus funds, we use public records, such as county surplus lists and property records. We may also use commercial address-lookup services.

If you hire us, we collect the documents needed for your claim, such as ID and proof of ownership. We request these documents only after you sign an agreement with us, and you send them by email or through a secure upload link we provide. We keep them for 3 years after your claim closes, then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Website technical data: we may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, to count visits. We do not use advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and operation of the site.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, to look into whether money is held for you, and, if you hire us, to prepare and track your claim. We do not sell personal information. If you hire us, we share information only as needed to prepare and file your claim, for example with the office holding the funds or a notary.

Calls, texts and email

We may contact owners by mail, phone or email using public records. Anyone can ask us to stop contacting them, and we will.

Opting out

To stop all contact from us, email [email protected] with your name and address.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold and limit access to people who need it. Claim documents are kept as described above; other records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above and our legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Changes

We'll post any changes on this page with a new date.
